There are several nonprofit events during the festival like the Muddy Paws 3k & 5k fun run on Saturday, April 29th. It benefits local dog rescue groups including the NW Boxer Rescue. Another popular draw is the annual photo contest, which has several categories. The retriever holding a bouquet, taken by Hana Kim, took 2nd place last year.
