Lift Urban Portland Draws Fans to Mission of Helping People in Northwest Neighborhoods

The nonprofit often has beautiful produce at its pantry and volunteers, Kelly and Nancy, show it off.

Portland, April 3rd, 2016. Volunteers at the Lift Urban Portland pantry are showing off their produce while supporters celebrate a boost from a local business. Skin by Lovely owners had a ribbon-cutting at their new medical aesthetic practice in NW Portland and pledged to donate a percentage of their proceeds between April 8th through May 8th to benefit Lift Urban Portland. Skin by Lovely moved from the Pearl to its new space at 2311 NW Northrup. Nearby, Lift Urban Portland has a myriad of programs including: providing hot meals, an emergency food pantry, the Food for Kids Backpack program, maintaining a community garden, and more.

Lift Urban Portland supports those in need in Northwest Portland, the Pearl District, Old Town and the West End and was founded as Northwest Portland Ministries in 1981. Here’s a video to learn more:
