Big Brothers Big Sisters Columbia Northwest Celebrates Success

Portland, January, 26th. The Big Brothers Big Sisters Columbia Northwest’s African American Advisory Board and several hundred community, business, and educational leaders celebrated mentoring and its life-changing impact during National Mentoring Month. Jason Mayden and Anthony Herrington with Nike were on hand for the event.  Through the hard work of staff, the African American Advisory Board, partners and individuals the agency has been able to serve 44 percent more African American children since the Board’s inception in 2007.

This year the Board celebrated success by presenting the Evening of Impact Awards to those individuals and partners who have had life-changing impact in the African American community: The Rob Ingram Award: Rob Ingram; The Community Impact Award: 1145 project; The Corporate Impact Award: Nike Black Employee and Friends Network; Community Support Award: Bank of America.
